On our safari at Nakuru Game Park

The last two days have been a lot of fun. Yesterday we spent the majority of our morning shopping in an open market. For the most part, we all enjoyed the bartering process. The vendors were very kind and gracious. The market was clean, organized and safe. It was located on the roof of a mall. We took a break for lunch and went to the food court. We then headed back for more shopping in the afternoon.

Yesterday evening we enjoyed a great time of visiting, laughing and simply getting to know each other more. We learned some incredible information about life in Africa and were challenged by what we learned.

This morning we made a two-hour trip to Nakuru Game Park for our safari. We spent a couple of hours driving through the park looking for animals. We then returned to the lodge for an awesome lunch. We went back out around 4:00 pm to look for more animals before the sun set. We were blessed and saw lion, cheetah, rhino, water buffalo, baboon, jackal, hyena, flamingo, impala, deer, antelope, monkey and zebra. We were all reminded of just how incredibly beautiful God’s creation truly is.

Tomorrow we will spend a couple of hours in the game park before we head back to Nairobi. We will pack up and then start the long journey home.
