Come and worship this Independence Day weekend at FP North! We have identical services at 5:30 and 7:00 pm on Saturday night and 9:30 and 11:00 am on Sunday morning. This is a great weekend to come celebrate the true freedom we have in Christ! See you this weekend.

It is hard to believe that we will be celebrating our first Easter weekend at North in just a couple of days. It seems like just yesterday that we were getting ready for our launch back in September. I have a couple of things below that I want to remind each of you to help with this weekend as we prepare for guests. 

However, let me first start by saying that this has been an extremely tough week for our campus. On Monday, we had the sudden death of our dear friend Luke Grayson who has worked side by side with me at the North Campus since day one, making sure everything was finished and ready for our launch. Luke was also our maintenance guy here at North, one of the LifeGroup Team Leaders, as well as my sidekick/co-leader in my personal LifeGroup on Tuesday nights. Luke’s visitation is…

On Saturday, February 6 we are going to get together to fellowship and do a little spring cleaning at the North Campus. There are many minor jobs we can accomplish together in just a few hours.

A list of some of the things I would like to accomplish:

• Power wash the front of the building
• Dust all the doors and trim
• Mop the foyer
• Mop the worship center
• Clean all the windows
• Scrub all bathroom floors and apply sealer/finish
• Cut the grass in back if it’s warm and dry enough
• Steam clean all the carpets

We’ll work from around 8:30 am to probably no later than 11:00 am. Feel free to bring the kids; they can help. I don’t have anybody to watch little ones or bed babies, but older kids can help dust, sweep and wash windows.

Hello FP Northers (is that a word?)! We want to say “Thank You” again for helping get Kid City ready. It has been an awesome couple of weeks! Thank you for praying, cleaning, painting, organizing, moving stuff, putting together stuff, and ANYTHING else you did. We could not have done it without you!

You’ve probably noticed that God is bringing lots and lots of children to Kid City…yeah! These kids are coming to God’s house, hearing His Word, and feeling His love through the kindness and attention of the teachers. The teachers are having a great time, too. Actually, I think some of the teachers are having as much fun as the kids!

We have almost 50 teachers/youth helpers in Kid City, but we still need a few more. Our greatest need is on Saturday at 7:00 pm in the Cinema (K-4th grade) and the Depot (Preschoolers). We…

Well once again let me say “WOW!” Yes, it was a wonderful first weekend at North Campus. Thank you again for all of you who prayed, worked and invited. The greatest part of launching our campus is that we now get to do it every weekend. Below are a couple of reminders for each of us this weekend.

• Be in your spots early. We want to make sure and be prepared before our guests arrive. Talk to your team leader about when exactly they want you in your spot.
• Park in the back or away from the main doors. Our parking lot team will have a few of you park closer to the entry ways so that it looks like we have a crowd but if they don’t ask you then go ahead and park farther away.
• Be intentional about greeting people you do not know. The best conversation starter…

Wow, what a weekend! Thank you all for your hard work, prayers and support for the Forest Park North Campus launch. This weekend was truly amazing. We had a total of 768 in attendance with at least 6 decisions for Christ! Way to go!

Everyone did such a great job of welcoming our guests—from the parking lot all the way to the Auditorium and in-between. I loved seeing you investing in new people this weekend. It was truly wonderful to see you all “get it.” It is not about “us;” it is all about “Him,” and sharing our heart with “them!” Keep praying, keep inviting, and we will continue to see God work in mighty ways.

Saturday Night - 9/12/09

Today and tomorrow we launch our North Campus at Forest Park! Here are a couple of instructions for everyone this weekend.

1. Park in the back of the campus. Let’s save the prime spots for our guests. There will be parking in the back of the campus as well as behind Kum & Go.
2. Arrive early and make sure to be in your place with a smile on your face.
3. Everyone is on the First Impression Team. If you see someone that is new and needs help, then offer your assistance. Our objective this weekend is not to visit with our friends, but instead to seek out guests and make them feel welcome.
4. Sit toward the middle and front during the service. Leave the back and side seats for our guests. They will more than likely be later than others, and we do not want them to climb over people or…

Our launch is almost here!!! If you are able to help clean, unload our new chairs at 3:00 pm today (Friday), clean some more, etc., then come by the North Campus anytime today or tomorrow morning. I can’t wait till Saturday and Sunday!
